Building Trust

Trust, by definition,  is the belief that someone is good, reliable and honest.  In business and especially in real estate sales, you have to build a level of trust that allow clients the confidence you’ll act in their best interest.

Providing reliable, consistent customer service, is one way to build trust.  Think of how you would like to be treated if you’re the customer/client and treat everyone the same way.  Consistency builds trust,  thus treat everyone the same way regardless of how much business they bring your way.    Honesty is essential in the process of developing a relationship with your client.   Admit your mistakes and don’t lie to your clients because people are smart and intuitive.  If telling the truth results in losing the customer/client, then it was never meant to be – move on.

Being kind and considerate and don’t withhold information to spare someone’s feelings.  Clients and customers will appreciate you more, even if they don’t like the message.

“To be trusted is a greater compliment than being loved.” – George MacDonald.
